Kung Fu – For Body and Mind

  • Program Description

    The goal of our Kung Fu Program is to strengthen the body with Kung Fu animal exercises and drills, to strengthen the mind though the development of internal energy, and to promote stress relief utilizing Qigong breathing exercises and stretching. Students will learn Kung Fu through the study of the Tam Tui Wah Lum (Northern Mantis) and Fu Jow Pai (Black Tiger Claw) styles. These systems focus on balance and awareness of surroundings moving with speed and striking with immense force that is generated through powerful circular movements.

  • Age Groups

    All students over the age of 12 are eligible to enroll in our Kung Fu Program. These classes are private lessons which are 30 minutes in length. Students attend 1-2 classes per week.

  • Progression

    At each rank the student will learn both hand forms and weapons forms and must master the aspects and movements contained within before progressing and learning new material. Students of Kung Fu wear a Kung Fu Uniform and the ranks in Kung Fu are demonstrated through sashes rather than a karate belt.
